Williams AV Brings Quranic Park to life

on February 16, 2022 | Marketing Team

Launched in 2018 and recommended by Time magazine as one of the Top 100 global tourist destinations to visit, the UAE’s Quranic Park has already attracted over two million visitors from across the world. To ensure that everyone is able to get the most of out of their visit, regardless of any language barriers that may exist, a Williams AV Infrared interpretation system has been supplied by NMK Electronics across seven Quranic Park zones.

“The Quranic Park is a unique icon in Dubai and one of a kind in the whole world,” explains Abdul Haquim, Quranic Park. “There are three major attraction landmarks inside the park itself, beginning with the Glasshouse, which is a modern airconditioned greenhouse showcasing 29 types of plants referenced in the Quran and Sunnah. Then we have the lake, embodying a replica of Prophet Musa’s miracle where the Red Sea was split into two and the children of Israel were led to safety. Finally, we have the Cave of Miracles, where a variety of stories about Prophets are displayed and presented using modern technology.”

Located in Al Khawaneej and spanning more than 3km2, the park’s specified translation solution required extensive coverage capabilities as well as the ability to fend off a multitude of interference. For this reason, NMK suggested William AV IR transmitters paired with WIR RX22-4N SoundPlus four-channel Infrared receivers. With an operating range of up to 2,800m2 in single-channel mode, 100 receivers are on-hand for visitors to use throughout the seven zones. Nine 12-bay charging units have also been supplied and are placed in the control room.

“The requirements from the client was that the system would be spread across seven different areas – the first important thing was to avoid interference and the second was to provide sufficient coverage for all the guests that would be visiting,” explained NMK’s business communication unit brand manager, Abdul Hadi. “We chose the Williams AV IR system because its radiators have a very sleek design, they offer very good power output and the audio quality is also amazing. The system was very easy to install and is also easy to use for all the people coming into share this unique experience.”

While the Williams Sound system is already translating the park’s Arabic content into the two most requested languages, English and Urdu, the multi-channel nature of the WIR RX22 receivers will allow this to be boosted in the near future to also include translations for other languages. “Visitors to Quranic park since it has been installed have expressed their happiness with the translation system, which is capable of bringing them all of the content offered in real-time and in an understandable way.”
