NMK brings L-Acoustics training to life for PRG

NMK Electronics, in partnership with L-Acoustics, recently led an intensive four-day training initiative for PRG Middle East’s audio division. Focusing on safety, workflow best practices and hands-on system familiarisation, the sessions were aimed at everyone from warehouse prep staff to senior systems engineers.

Taking place at PRG’s Dubai facility, the trainings were led by Chris Pugh, technical operations manager at NMK Electronics, alongside Nick Payne of L-Acoustics. Together, they blended classroom instruction with practical rigging and deployment of flagship L-Acoustics systems including KARA II, K1 and K2 units. The training was based on the French manufacturer’s system and workflow framework and aligned with NMK’s initiative to not only act as a distributor, but also a knowledge partner.

Pugh cited safety as the key takeaway from the training: “We want crews to set up systems efficiently and without risk to people or equipment. These partnerships and training sessions demonstrate a shared commitment and, most importantly, also help replace habits formed in the field with techniques that improve workflows and elevate productions.”

During the sessions, participants shared their experiences and unlocked what Pugh describes as “lightbulb moments”; instances where complex concepts finally clicked. According to NMK, those moments reflect the true impact of training: creating empowered professionals who approach every production with confidence and precision.

Cyril Mattar, sales manager – Middle East at L-Acoustics, emphasised the importance of continuous learning, stating: “The L-Acoustics education programme, recognised throughout the industry, is an asset for audio professionals and their employers.”

According to the team, by the end of the four days, the benefits were evident: stronger workflows, safer practices and a unified approach to deploying L-Acoustics systems across major events in the UAE and KSA.
