NMK Electronics brings AV community together at Atlantis

The regional PROAV community gathered in Dubai for NMK Electronics’ Season Kick-Off 2025, an event that set the tone for the year ahead with a blend of technology, entertainment and industry connection. Hosted at Wavehouse, Atlantis The Palm, the evening brought together more than 350 professionals in a purposeful setting, offering a welcome pause before the event season begins.

Far from a traditional industry gathering, the night was marked by lights, sound and energy, with arcade games, bowling, live music, and prize draws fueling the atmosphere. At the same time, brand showcases and demo zones highlighted the latest innovations shaping the future of PROAV. Leading global names, including Chauvet Professional, Epson, Infiled, Shure, Televic, SRS, Riedel, Avid, QSC, Bose Professional, L-Acoustics, Neutrik, Luminex and Allen & Heath were featured, alongside rental companies, venues, creative agencies, and technology partners from across the region.

A major highlight of the evening was the announcement of winners of the region’s first-ever Lighting Competition, hosted by NMK in collaboration with Chauvet Professional. The contest celebrated programming talent, with Paul Coopes taking first place and earning a trip for two to Miami, home of Chauvet HQ. Kirill Tishchenko and Martijn van Summeren were also recognized among the top competitors.

As an annual tradition, the event underscores NMK Electronics’ commitment not only to providing comprehensive technology solutions but also to fostering connections among the people and partners driving the live experience industry forward.

“It’s easy to get caught up in the pace of what’s next, but moments like this remind us why we do what we do,” said Dino Drimakis, Director Strategic Development at NMK Electronics. “Coming together, before the season begins, gives us time to reset as a team, align with our partners, and stay grounded in the relationships that keep this industry moving.”

The gathering closed with a clear message: the season has arrived, and the industry stands ready—connected, recharged and prepared to move forward.
