Description

The Radial SW8 is 8-channel audio switcher, automatic failover system, and redundancy safety net, built for live concerts, stage shows, and broadcast applications that rely on backing tracks and virtual orchestration. It lets you run two multi-track playback systems at the same time—a main system and a backup system. If the main playback machine fails or loses its continuous pilot tone (such as an SMPTE timecode), the SW8 senses the drop and immediately switches over to the backup machine without any audio interruption. Housed in a tough 1U, 14-gauge steel rackmount chassis, it features passive audio paths with active relay switching to keep your sound clean and pure.

  • 8-Channel Redundancy: Switches eight balanced or unbalanced line-level channels simultaneously between two independent
  • Automatic and Manual Switching: Detects dropouts via an adjustable gate threshold or lets you toggle manually using the front panel
  • Eclipse ET-DB2 Transformers: Transformer isolation on outputs to get rid of hum and buzz caused by ground loops
  • Flexible I/O Connections: 1/4" TRS and 25-pin D-Sub (DB25) inputs, alongside front-panel XLR direct outputs and ground lifts
  • Linkable Design: Link multiple units together if your stage setup requires more than 8 channels of playback safety
