Description

The Radial PZ-Pre combines a studio-quality acoustic preamp, feedback-eliminating filters, and a high-performance direct box into a heavy-duty floor pedal. Built around 100% discrete class-A PZB piezo boosters and an ultra-quiet active circuit path, it adapts to both magnetic and piezo transducers on virtually any acoustic instrument—from guitar and violin to upright bass and mandolin. It allows players to switch quickly between two instruments or blend dual pickup sources, sending a pristine signal straight to an on-stage amp and independent balanced XLR outputs to the mixing console.

  • Dual-Channel Input: Switch or blend between two separate instruments or dual pickup sources using a footswitch
  • PZB Piezo Boosters: 10 meg-ohm load option to eliminate harsh peaks and loads from passive piezo pickups
  • Feedback Control: Variable notch filter (56 Hz to 330 Hz) and a low-cut roll-off switch (75 Hz or 220 Hz) to tame
  • Flexible Routing Outputs: 1/4" amp output, a tuner output with a mute switch, a pre-EQ balanced XLR DI output
  • Performance Enhancements: N onboard power boost (up to +12 dB) and a 1/4" effects loop for integrating external pedals
