Description

Radial Engineering JDX Direct-Drive simulates the realistic sound and feel of a miked-up guitar amplifier while doubling as a direct injection (DI) box. It lets you leave your heavy amp at home, reduce stage volume bleed, or record tracks silently using your favorite pedalboard setup. The signal passes through custom filters capturing Radial's signature JDX sound (modeled after a dynamic mic on a 4x12 cabinet), alongside two additional analog amp curves mimicking a British tube head or a clean combo amp.

  • Three Amp Voicings: Switch between Combo (Fender-style clean), Stack (British tube head), and JDX (4x12 cabinet tone)
  • Presence Switch: Two-position control adding extra high-end sparkle and bite to your tone
  • Balanced XLR Output: Sends a clean, mic-level signal straight to the mixing board or audio interface
  • Utility Controls: 180° polarity reverse to phase-align monitors and a ground lift to stop hum and buzz
  • Multiple Connections: 1/4" input, a passive Thru for your on-stage amp, a dedicated 1/4" Amp Tone output
