Description
The Expander’s rugged design, with hard-wearing rubber bumpers, allows it to be placed directly on the stage floor during performances. Weighing in at just 4.8kg and featuring a sturdy carry handle, the AB168 offers the convenience and portability needed in rental, education, houses of worship and many other environments. An optional 4U rack mounting kit is available for installation in 19-inch racks. The AB168 can be placed up to 100m away from the mixer for maximum flexibility of positioning. The unit connects over a single Cat5 cable to the mixer or upstream Expander. A second port is provided for daisy-chaining to another compatible expander or for connection to a ME personal mixing system.

- Cat5 Connectivity: Can be placed up to 100 meters away from the main mixer using a single, secure locking EtherCon Cat5 cable
- Expander Port: Includes a second EtherCon port for daisy-chaining a second expander rack or connecting Allen & Heath ME personal monitoring systems
- Roadworthy Design: Housed in a tough metal chassis fitted with rubber bumpers and a carry handle, making it durable enough to withstand being placed directly on stage
