Dubai nightclub's DJ depends on EV

The Award-winning Boudoir nightclub, at Dubai Marine Beach Resort and Spa, has recently upgraded their DJ booth with new active monitors from Electro-Voice.

The French restaurant and lounge is a fashionable, chic and trendy outlet at the hotel and quite unique amongst the various other nightclubs in the city. The active monitors were installed and commissioned by veteran audio-visual specialist Dominic Calvert, based at Dubai Media City, who designed and installed the original AV system.

The Electro-Voice® SxA360 high-powered loudspeaker is a fully integrated audio system with carefully matched electronics and transducers. This product makes it easy to set up a high-quality sound system quickly with a minimum of cables and external electronics. It retains typical EV ruggedness, reliability and impeccable sound quality.

Electro-Voice, a 77 year old manufacturer of high quality speakers for various applications, has enjoyed great success in the region last year. NMK Electronics Ent has supplied integrators for projects that include the Madinat Jumeirah resort and the recently completed 7-star Emirates Palace Hotel in Abu Dhabi. Also, the Dubai Autodrome includes over 60 weather proof loudspeakers and 35 amplifiers to bring the excitement of the track to the spectators in the grandstand.

'We had tried a number of alternative solutions, but after the main and peripheral systems were upgraded to approx 6Kw and 2Kw respectively, it was clear a high-quality, high-efficiency, compact loudspeaker was required. The SxA 360 exceeded all expectations, including mine, the Client's, and DJ Karim 'Enzoo' Kammouge', said Dominic Calvert.
