NMK Electronics have recently supplied Dubai Television with a number of RTS Intercom Digital Matrices for their OB trucks.

RTS, a brand of Telex Communications, are manufacturers of first class intercom systems from the USA. The requirement included four matrices from RTS, which were the Zeus II and five keypanels per truck making a total of 20 12-key keypanels with a display. The Zeus II is a 24-port matrix that comes packaged in a compact size, with the added benefits of linking to other RTS matrices for more complex communication.

'Dubai TV have chosen RTS Digital Matrices for their OB facilities because of its reputation and extensive capabilities,' said Chicco Hiranandani, Business Development Manager at NMK Electronics Ent. He added, 'With each matrix and set of keypanels in the OB trucks, there is continuous communication between the director, producer and other members of the production. If there is a bigger event where more than one truck is used, then the matrices can be connected to each other so that communication is seamless.'

The Zeus II comes complete with Windows based software for configuration of the system both offline and when the system is being used. With added equipment, the system may be able to communicate with matrices around the world via IP making it a cost effective solution for events where global communication is necessary.
