Tek Signals, Abu Dhabi based integrators have purchased the Midas PRO6 from Nicolas Kyvernitis Electronics, local distributors for Midas and Klark Teknik.

The PRO6, which has been implemented in the Qatar National Theatre, is a live audio system that will be the first of its kind in the Middle East.

It provides an all in one solution that includes a digital mixing console complete with a digital snake.

The Midas PRO6 Live Audio System is the second networked digital audio system from Midas. Employing technologies developed from the class-leading XL8, the PRO6 offers the same exemplary sample - synchronized audio performance in a compact package.

'There are various benefits to the PRO6 for either live or installed applications,' commented Marc Paraiso, Sales and Support Engineer with NMK. He added, 'With the use of fiber optics we are able to route audio in a reliable and flexible manner. The system also boasts redundancy on numerous levels such as power, DSP processing, and control. The fact that it is also using a Linux platform gives the product a strong position in the digital console market.'
